Message from Christine and Tony Peppler:

“We were the lucky prize winners of the Drimpton Fun Day raffle, held last August (2011) – a day with the Red Arrows display team at their base in Scampton, Lincolnshire. This was arranged for Wednesday 29th February, which proved to be an absolutely unforgettable day.   We are now back home from spending a few days in Lincoln. The following is a brief account of our day plus a photograph.
Our VIP visit programme was as follows:
  - A presentation on the activities of the Red Arrows display team and the support staff, from their history to their promotional work at home and abroad
  - Coffee with the pilots and sitting in on their pre-sortie briefing
  - Watching one of the 3 daily flying display practices, followed by photographs with the Red Arrows
  - Sitting in on the de-brief session, including a video of the practice session
  - Buffet lunch with the team
  - A guided tour of the Hawk T1 aircraft and hangar
The Red Arrows are an extremely friendly bunch so coffee and lunch with them was extremely relaxed and sociable. So, as you can imagine it was a very interesting, informative and EXCITING day, all thanks to the Village Fun Day.
   Many thanks Drimpton!”
